Join Guesthouse Raicho in Norikura Kogen, near Kamikochi, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture!
We are looking for helper staff to assist in welcoming guests and supporting their travels while enjoying the beauty of the Northern Alps.
Our guesthouse features a premium sulfur hot spring, which you can enjoy daily!
Why not spend a relaxing time in the great outdoors, helping with our guesthouse operations and a nearby café while rejuvenating in our therapeutic hot springs?
What is a Helper?
Helpers exchange work for free accommodation (covering lodging and utilities). This is an unpaid position.
Currently, we are primarily recruiting for positions at Guesthouse Raicho.
In exchange for 16 hours of work per week, you will receive:
Additional work beyond 16 hours per week will be paid at 1,000 yen per hour
・Free lodging in the staff room
・Free utilities
・Free hot spring access
・Free bicycle rental
・Meals available for 300 yen per dinner

Note: We cannot accept short-term travelers. Applicants must be residents of Japan or hold a valid working holiday visa.
Job Details
Main tasks:
- Guesthouse cleaning
- Meal preparation assistance
Work hours
- Minimum stay: 1 month
- Up to 4 hours per day, 16 hours per week
- Morning cleaning: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM , Evening meal prep: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Currently recruiting for positions starting in mid-April 2025.
Other Info
- The room you will stay in is a shared room.
- Personal vehicles can be parked onsite.
- Meal cost: 300 yen per day (optional).
- Raicho primarily has private rooms, attracting families & nature lovers.No bar operations, so excessive guest engagement is not required.
- Transportation expenses are not covered.
